Gary was raised in Hastings, NE and relocated to Minneapolis, MN for 7 years. He returned to Lincoln, NE in 1982. He has been married since 1964 to AlyceRae and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
Past
Gary worked in various capacities for Century Manufacturing Company of Minneapolis, MN starting as a "farm to farm" direct salesman, then was promoted to District Manager, Regional Manager, Division Manager, National Sales Manager and finally as Vice President of Sales & Marketing (Century was the world's largest manufacturer of welders and battery chargers). Sales rose from $18,000,000 to $50,000,000 during the 7 years Gary was with the company.
Gary is Founder and Past President of the Nebraska Satellite Dealers Association
Gary is a past member of the National Installer Board for Hughes Network Systems (Hughes is the world's largest supplier of two way satellite data systems)
Gary is a past member of the National Dealer Board for Music Choice (Music Choice is the world's largest supplier of background music)
Gary is a past Board President of the Nebraska Stroke Foundation (renamed the Nebraska State Stroke Association, it is a non-profit located in Lincoln, NE)

Hobbies: Instrument Rated Private Pilot with nearly 1,500 hours and over 1000 hours actual instrument flight. In the past 30 years Gary has owned three airplanes including a Beechcraft Bonanza, which, when built, was the fastest naturally aspirated single engine aircraft.
Gary's current hobby focus is on classic cars, including a restored 1968 Chevrolet C-10 pickup modified with 350 Chevrolet small block V8 and a T350 transmission (license plate GRRRRR8), a stock 1969 Buick Skylark convertible with only 53,000 actual miles (license plate SWEEEET) and a 1968 Chevrolet Suburban (a rare 3 door) with a highly modified 350 Chevrolet small block V8 and a T350 racing transmission (license plate XCELR8R). The vehicles have been shown at various car shows and have won numerous awards. Gary is a member of the "Rebels" car club in Lincoln, NE.
